What is one of my favorite dieting secrets?

I am not a good dieter. I mean I really am not. But I have found this. Our bodies make cortisol when we are stressed. I mean it makes a lot of it. We have to learn to lay down our burdens at the feet of our Father...... Everyday, sometimes 10 times a day. It isn't easy!

Last year I physically put this into practice. I was so stressed. We had lost our house, my last Grandparent passed away, financially things were iffy, our oldest son was acting out. I almost had a stroke. I ended up int he hospital with a nurse saying to me calm down NOW or you are going have a stroke. Not good at 38! Or any age at that. So, I did I calmed down. PERIOD. It wasn't me it was God. He soothed my pain and I released the stress. I lost 45 pounds. I kid you not.

He is always by your side. He knows what is important to us. It really does matter to Him.

I know that stress is bad for my weight. I eat more and can not lose when I'm stressed out.

I bought an iPhone app that has meditations and when I listen to the going to sleep one at night...I sleep better and tend to have a less stressful day.

We should all ban stress from our lives!
